CHAIRPERSON VACANCY                                                                         

CPRE Cornwall 

We are looking for a voluntary Chairperson

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the countryside and is prepared to stand up to the forces that threaten it. Someone who is able to lead, enthuse, inspire, motivate and encourage our Committee members and dedicated volunteers to achieve our vision of a beautiful and thriving Cornish countryside that enriches all our lives

We campaign on planning issues, fighting to prevent developments on AONB and green field sites and supporting sustainable and appropriate proposals to meet Cornwall’s housing needs. We champion environmental issues such as the climate emergency, renewable energy, biodiversity and sustainable transport.

As Chairperson you would provide strategic leadership to our charity and support fundraising, membership and engagement initiatives. You would work to ensure that our charity meets constitutional and governance requirements and ensure its financial integrity and long-term sustainability.

We ask that you are, or are willing to become, a member of CPRE, are resident in Cornwall and are are able to commit to attending 6 Committee meetings per year and sub-committee meetings and events as necessary.
