Role description

To offer support to service users and staff when accessing the local Hydrotherapy Pool in Newlyn on a sessional basis. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Attending St John’s Day Opportunities on an agreed day of the week.
  • To drive the Age Uk vehicle when required.
  • Provide support to a permanent member of staff when accessing the Hydrotherapy pool in Newlyn.
  • To be flexible and reliable when delivering the service throughout the day as this may be subject to change.
  • Report any concerns regarding Service users to the Team Leader promptly to allow appropriate action to be taken.
  • Report on each Service user’s progress to the relevant member of staff.
  • Ensure that any records and other information relating to service users are kept confidential, and in a safe and secure place.
  • Comply with all safety systems and ensure that Corserv Care’s procedures for safe working are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain a service user’s dignity, choice & control at all times and advise a Team leader of any safeguarding concerns.
  • Respect the service user’s individuality, equality and diversity, providing a service sensitive to these needs.
  • To act professionally and treat service user’s with respect and care at all times whilst adhering to Corserv Care’s policies and procedures.
  • Identification badge should be worn at all times whilst on Corserv Care duties. 

Person Specification

  • No special qualifications or experience needed.
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Caring, patient, non-judgemental and sensitive manner
  • Reliable, dependable and flexible
  • Understanding of data protection, safe working and confidentiality (training will be given)
  • Have positive outlook and enthusiastic.

 

How will you be supported in your role?

  • You will receive relevant induction and training for the role.
  • Travel expenses for journeys undertaken whilst on duty can be claimed.
  • You will be working alongside our experienced and competent Team Leaders and staff teams.  
  • You will have supervisory support from a Team Leader employed within Corserv Care.
