The Dreadnought Centre Volunteer Group Worker (Pool, Redruth, Camborne)
Volunteers are an essential part of what we do at The Dreadnought Centre.
Our volunteers can give their time in multiple ways including working alongside children and young people, helping them to develop confidence, self esteem and social skills.
Our groups are held in the evenings throughout Cornwall, so if you have a few hours to spare and would like to get to know some astounding children and young people why not consider becoming a volunteer with us.
The benefits of volunteering include:
- Fun
- Enlightening
- Training & supervision
- Personal development
- Confidence skills
- New friends
- Make a difference
- The chance to pass on skills
- Illustration of commitment for future employers
- Your voluntary hours certificated annually
- And so much more...
We operate a buddy system so you will have a volunteer alongside you until you find your feet. Volunteers are our most valuable resource and we want you to feel comfortable. On beginning work with the Charity, close monitoring of suitability is observed. Before having contact with children all employees and volunteers must complete our induction and basic safeguarding training. This is re-visited every two years. Please note that all our volunteers are DBS checked to an enhanced level.
Opportunities are across Cornwall.
For more information click apply now or email us team@thedreadnought.co.uk, we will ask you to complete a volunteer application form and we will then invite you in for a volunteer interview.

Volunteers are required to have an account on the website to complete this form.
If you've not created a volunteer account, please create one here.
