Role description

The award winning Castle Heritage Centre houses a variety of fascinating objects relating to the history of Bude and the surrounding area. As well as the museum, the building also includes two art galleries, a cafe and archive suite.

Front of House volunteering includes welcoming visitors to The Castle and answering any questions. A full induction will be given, and volunteers will be encouraged to learn about the exhibitions and historic themes covered by the Heritage Centre. There will be occasional opportunities to volunteer at Castle events, such as the annual Heritage Festival. Support and feedback will be given by the Heritage Development Officer, as well as regular get togethers, and you will be joining a small and friendly team of existing volunteers.
