Role description

The Tasks:

Removing vegetation from the beaver enclosure fence

Why?:

The Woodland Valley Farm is the area where the Beaver release and project was established in 2017. The land Owner, Chris jones is the Beaver Trusts Communities Director and has asked for help with maintaning the area around the beaver site. There's tree planting for future enviromental gains, there's the beaver enclosure maintenance for their safety and theres coppicing to enrich wildlife habitat around the farm.

What you will need:

  • Bring with you a pack lunch and drinks for the day.
  • Wear Robust Boots and clothing for winter working

We will provide:

  • Task Supervision, tools and task talks
  • Protective equipment (gloves & goggles etc)
  • Tools for the task (Bowsaws & loppers etc)
  • 1st aiders and 1st aid kits
  • Hand washing water
  • Risk Assessments
  • Expert knowledge of the area and wildlife
  • COVID restrictions depending.... BISCUITS!!
