Hair and Nails

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by offering hair cutting, styling, and basic nail care services to residents. These services play an important role in promoting self-esteem, dignity, and wellbeing—helping individuals feel cared for, confident, and valued during their recovery process.

What You’ll Do

• Provide haircuts, simple styling, and/or nail care (e.g., manicures, basic treatments)
• Create a welcoming and respectful environment for all residents
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a safe and supportive experience
• Offer a listening ear and positive encouragement, when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified or experienced hairdresser, barber, or nail technician
• Friendly, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach
• Reliable and able to commit to agreed volunteer sessions
• Comfortable working within a professional care environment
