Local Area

Minimum Age

Role description

Kernow Library of Things, KLOTH, is a library of things based in Penryn. Instead of books we lend things like tents, tools, garden equipment and sewing machines. KLOTH is a Community Interest Company and rely on our volunteers to keep the library running.

We are recruiting volunteers for a number of roles including:

  • Opening the library, preparing things for borrows, assisting people with signing up to our system and with online bookings
  • Maintaining and fixing the things
  • PAT testing
  • Improving our  online catalogue, listing items, linking user guides etc
  • Marketing and social media
  • Promoting the library at local events
  • Writing content for our website

If you are interested in volunteering either individually or with a friend please contact us by email confirming outlining your skills and how much time you can offer to: info@kloth.org.uk

If you have any questions or would like to visit the KLOTH please contact Jenni Lawson: info@kloth.org.uk

Please note that there may be an element of lone working with the volunteer roles but we hope that with more volunteers we can ensure we work in pairs, which is much more fun!
