Meals on Wheels Volunteers

Age UK Cornwall Community Hubs are searching for volunteers to assist them with meal deliveries in St Austell, Newquay, Falmouth, and the surrounding areas. Find out more below.

The role

Our Community Hubs operate a meal delivery service for individuals that need a helping hand and would benefit from a warm nutritious meal. We are searching for volunteer drivers to support deliveries and help pack meals.

We are hoping someone can volunteer ASAP and provide this essential support to local communities. You can either use your own car or alternatively we can provide training to use our Electric Vehicle.

This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, confident and passionate about making a difference in their local communities.

Additional information

Full training will be provided, which includes: Safeguarding, Lone Working, Data Protection, Dementia Friends Support and Digital training modules. Please note that an Enhanced DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role (we will guide you through these processes).

When:

Any hours you can provide Monday to Friday at Newquay and Falmouth, or Tuesday to Thursday at St Austell.
