About Bodmin Keep: Cornwall's Army Museum
Bodmin Keep has stood strong in the heart of Bodmin for over 160 years. It is the former home of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry and the only Ministry of Defence building that remains on the site of the former Victoria Barracks. The building is steeped in history and the museum within houses 12,000+ artefacts covering more than 300 years of military history.
The museum stands as a testament to the soldiers, their families and the communities for which the Keep remains an important and significant part of their history, heritage and culture. The staff, Trustees and volunteers of Bodmin Keep work hard to preserve this history, whilst looking forward to ensure the building, museum and collection remain accessible to future generations for many years to come.
