Nance Mill Engine Preservation Association.
Nance Mill is situated in sixteen acres of fields & woodland on the outskirts of St Ives. We have just finished the construction of our new meeting room which is used by our members for social gatherings and also is available for use by any local community groups or organisations.
We are a small charity our main objectives are to restore, maintain & demonstrate the old saw mill at Nance. The saw mill was gifted to the association by a lady whose brother owned and ran it providing timber for the local area and she would like it preserved in his memory.
We were fortunate to receive local authority assistance in creating phase one of the project. This consisted of the construction of a new welfare/meeting room and a separate composting toilet facility. The idea of this new building was that it could also be used by the local community and other local organisations/groups.
This we have completed within the given time, to a very high standard and on budget, thus giving us credibility to go forward with the next phase of the restoration & preservation of Nance Mill saw mill and it's equipment.
