National Trust - Coast & Countryside Volunteer (St Agnes to Godrevy)
Volunteering as part of a team, Coast & Countryside volunteers help look after, improve and protect special outdoor places so that nature and wildlife can thrive and everyone can enjoy St Agnes to Godrevy.
What’s involved?
• Helping the ranger team with practical work to keep the countryside in great condition
• Helping each visitor feel welcome and making suggestions so they have a safe and enjoyable day
• Thinking about the needs of all visitors, including people with additional needs
• Sharing what’s great about St Agnes to Godrevy and helping people understand why we need to take care of special places
• Helping monitor the condition of our paths and visitor routes so as many people as possible can access St Agnes to Godrevy.
• Helping monitor wildlife nature and habitats and report any issues
• Maintaining good relationships with people who share the land e.g. farm tenants and visitors
• Being part of a team that may need to adapt and change in response
This role will suit you if you are …
• Outdoorsy, you don’t need to be Bear Grylls but you’ll do a lot of walking and practical tasks
• Keen to volunteer with others
• Passionate about the outdoors and nature, and want to make a difference to the countryside
• Keen to explore and learn more
All National Trust volunteers will be asked to
• Respect and uphold the National Trust values whilst volunteering with us
• Complete training required of all NT volunteers and any role specific training
• Adhere to relevant policies and processes including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity
