Role description

Do you love nature and wild spaces and live in or around the St Austell area? Well, if you do we at Choose Nature are looking for you.

We would love for you to join us as a volunteer here at the site for as much or as little time as you have to spare. No particular experience is necessary you just need an interest in helping out and being part of something fantastic.

Thursday mornings, 9am-12pm (excluding bank holidays).

Variety of outdoor tasks including gardening, general maintenance, site development projects.

Located adjacent to Wheal Martyn Clay Works. Our site includes gardening areas, poly tunnels, wildlife ponds, orchard, all helping to facilitate outdoor learning and therapeutic support in nature.

Choose Nature is a community interest company established by Claire Whalley (Badger Forest School) to be found at Higher Wheal Martyn, on land adjoining the Wheal Martyn Clay works. Claire and a team of experienced freelancers are passionate about the therapeutic benefits that nature provides and believe that anyone from any age, community and background can come and play, learn and connect with the natural environment.
