Role description

Why volunteer?

The gift of your time is essential to our Centre, either through helping ‘hands on’ or by raising much-needed funds. If you are age 18 or over, there are several volunteering opportunities you might like to consider and we are very grateful for any help you can provide.

How you can help

At the Centre

We need help with assisting and supporting our staff in the general running of the kennels and cattery, with every day chores like:

  • cleaning of kennels/cat pods
  • making up enrichments for the day
  • the upkeep of the laundry
  • walking with staff when they walk some dogs
  • spending fun time with the cats so they get used to being around people and being stroked

So if you can spend a morning or afternoon helping with these chores please get in touch.

We also need help at the Centre with:

  • maintaining the grounds
  • mowing grass
  • painting fences
  • small, unskilled D.I.Y. repair jobs and redecorating

Our shops

We have shops in Bude, Truro and Newquay.

Help in the shops would gladly be welcomed from just morning or afternoons to all day.

Please email volunteers@rspcacornwall.org.uk or phone 01637 881455 for an application form.
