Online Archives Volunteering
Kresen Kernow offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and Year 10 work experience placements. Whether you are interested in working in archives and libraries, are fond of family and local history, have a passion for preservation or are attracted by our activities and events programme, we may have a task, project or role for you. Most on-site volunteering takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
We currently have spaces open for online volunteering via our volunteering portal.
We work in line with Cornwall Council’s Equality and Diversity Strategy and good practice guidelines for volunteering. Use the links below for more details, read about why people volunteer with us, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, or email kresenkernow@cornwall.gov.uk if you have any questions.
If you are interested in trying out some online volunteering, you can try out example tasks in the Have a go section or you can view the latest actual tasks on offer in the Current projects section. Before selecting an actual task to help with, you need to register as an online volunteer and then login to access the project pages.
If this is your first step into the world of archive collections, please do take a look at our Have a go section which explains the type of tasks that may be on offer. Online volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and you can dabble as much or as little as you like.

Volunteers are required to have an account on the website to complete this form.
