Board Director of Bodmin Way (not for profit social enterprise)
Director of Bodmin Way Social Enterprise
Bodmin Way is improving the wellbeing of residents in the town and nearby villages. As a social enterprise owned by local parish churches, it’s network of relationships and facilities are deeply embedded in the community. The staff, volunteers and directors are particularly committed to support those who face the most challenges. It provides a range of opportunities for everyone which can be found on its website and social media pages.
Bodmin Way is not a registered charity. It does however operate as a not for profit organisation, a social enterprise, where all of its funds are directed to service delivery for the community.
We have vacancies for up to three new volunteer (non exec) Directors to join the Board. All our director posts are unpaid voluntary positions.
Our directors typically have:
A strong connection and commitment to Bodmin and the surrounding areas.

- Shared understanding of our vision mission and values.
- A passion for making a difference to the lives of ordinary people who deserve better.
- Willingness to attend Board meetings approximately every 6/8 weeks throughout the year, sometimes in person and sometimes on Zoom as well as away days and AGM.
- The ability to bring and share their knowledge and skills with the Board and help make strategic and some operational decisions.
- Some understanding of Governance, setting policies and procedures and organisation culture.
- Good connections with stakeholders and potential partner organisations in and around Bodmin.
