Volunteer aviary and general assistant
The role is for those 18 years of age or over and will involve scrubbing and hosing the aviaries, replacing fleece bedding, re-filling paddling pools and ponds, and completing the morning feed and general maintenance of the site including gardening and keeping the site tidy in general
There is potential to help with other aspects of the job like bird collection, handling and releases. It is a physical role!
Training and PPE will be provided; we just need you to bring a pair of wellies.
Start Time: between 09:30-10:00am (we can be flexible with start time if you have other commitments)
Commitment: 2-3 hours minimum a week (full and half days also welcome)
We also welcome volunteers on a less regular basis for fundraising events like Mousehole Sea, Salt and Sails 2024..

Please be advised that although we welcome people with mobility issues the site is built into a cliff and has many steps and some uneven surfaces so there is no access for wheelchairs and could be very difficult for others who can walk but need mobility aids as there are no lifts.
