Role description

Nurturing People, Plants & Planet

Emmaus Community Trees is a Community Tree Nursery that is seeking to grow a range of trees and hedging to help restore the natural woodland throughout the County. We collect our own seeds and grow high quality trees to sell to landowners, farmers and estate managers for woodland generation, rewilding and agroforestry. All proceeds go to the charity to help provide homes for homeless people in the County

We have a range of volunteer roles throughout the year, both on our site at Trewoon, St Austell and tree seed collecting at Estates throughout Cornwall. All roles depend on the season and Autumn is Seed collecting time. At the nursery site we have a range of activities including seed planting, tree care and propogation, weeding and more. If you would like to help us in any way, please fill in the form or email emmauscommunitytrees@gmail.com

We are deeply committed to involving all sectors of the local community, including socially prescribed individuals in our endeavors. Volunteering at Emmaus Commuity Tree offers a number of benefits, including: purposeful and social activity, working and connecting with nature, improving health and well being and making new friends. All whilst contributing to the environment and our charity.
