Club Organiser – Saltash Blind and Partially Sighted (BAPS) Club
Why do we need you?
Clubs are a lifeline to our members providing invaluable social contact and a way of staying active. Saltash BAPS have been meeting for more than 60 years and are one of our most popular clubs. The group meet fortnightly in Ashtorre Rock, Saltash on Tuesday afternoons from 1.45-3.45pm.
The members enjoy a range of entertainment including interesting speakers and local musicians, as well as the all-important tea and cake. Throughout the year the members also enjoy excursions such as shopping, cream teas or day trips to popular attractions.
What will you be doing?
- Arranging the day-to-day running of the club
- Organising the entertainment for each session (e.g., entertainer, speakers, musicians)
- Planning and arranging any group excursions
- Working closely with iSightCornwall to bring new members into the club
- Help liaise the club volunteers with the support of iSightCornwall
What are we looking for?
- Good communication skills
- Warm and friendly manner
- Punctual and reliable

What’s involved?
- This is a regular commitment – the club meets fortnightly, always at the same time and venue.
- You will need to make your own travel arrangements to and from the venue.
