2024 Christmas Tree Festival Helpers

We still have last minute opportunities for volunteers to help out at the ever popular Christmas Tree Festival for 2024. Come and join the team..

The festival is held in St Petroc's Church Bodmin and has become really important to over 60 charities and good causes who raise awareness of the important work they do in our local communities.

Open to the general public for two weeks, and culminating in Christmas week itself, the event is popular with locals, tourists and especially children. It takes a small army to organise, prepare, set up and run this event, and we are so grateful to all volunteers who come along and get involved. 

New Christmas Tree Festival volunteers will join other existing volunteers, to get involved both before and during the festival. You are guaranteed to meet and make friends and feel that you are really giving back to the community by becoming involved.

Our team lead is Roland, (roland.oakley@bodminway.org) and he cannot wait to hear from you. He is also hoping that some volunteers might event want to help out at other events, as there us a busy programme year round, quite apart from the Christmas Tree Festival. But the Christmas Tree festival is a great place to dip your toe into volunteering and get started.

These volunteering opportunities will suit anyone who has confidence in meeting people, or who wants to build confidence. Volunteers must be prepared to give their time and skills under supervision of the co-ordinator. Everyone is welcome, these opportunities are open to anyone aged 18 and over, including those with previous events experience and those with none.
