Role description

Launceston Health & Inequalities Hub are seeking volunteers to support or lead peer-led support groups for individuals with lived experience or those affected by the conditions listed below. This includes participants who are personally navigating these conditions or supporting as a caregiver or family member.

We are currently seeking volunteers for the following groups:

- Visually Impaired Peer Support Group
- Stoke Peer Support Group
- Chronic Pain Peer Support Group 

What are peer support groups?

They are a welcoming space that offers an opportunity to connect and share experiences in an informal group setting.

Volunteer requirements:

- Support group discussions & activities
- Greet participants
- Provide a welcoming & supportive space
- Training & resources will be provided

This list of peer-led groups is not exhaustive, and we welcome your ideas! If you know have any suggestions for peer support groups in Launceston, we’d love to hear from you.
