Volunteer Group Assistants

Launceston Memory Café are looking for new volunteers to support with their fortnightly groups. 

Our team of experienced and devoted volunteers are here to offer an afternoon of friendship and support, enhanced with social activities and refreshments. 

The relaxed and informal atmosphere allows those having difficulties to share opportunities with tother to reminisce and enjoy the afternoon, by way of pastimes - music, songs, pictures, word games, creative arts and so on. 

We are looking for volunteers who are empathetic and can listen to participants. We especially welcome those with lived experience of Dementia. 

Volunteers will have the opportunity to volunteer flexibly. 

This role does require a DBS and reference check and is subject to the facilitator discretion.
