Location: Merlin Cornwall’s Neuro Therapy Centre, Bradbury House, Hewas Water, St Austell, PL26 7JF
Merlin Neuro Therapy Centre, located in Mid-Cornwall, is the only purpose-built facility in the county providing a comprehensive range of affordable therapies to adults and young people living with a long-term neurological condition and neuro diversities.
Do you enjoy meeting people? Do you have a technical mind?
We require volunteers in our Oxygen Department to assist with the running of our Hypobaric Oxygen Chamber Sessions.
Full training will be provided throughout, all we ask is that you dedicate a few hours a week to this fantastic therapy service.
Training to become an Oxygen Therapy Volunteer will be conducted and overseen by the Oxygen Manager and Senior Oxygen Operator. The pace will be set at a level that suits your learning, enabling you to gain confidence and competency. This is a role that holds some responsibility but there will always be an experienced member of the team present to oversee all sessions. There is short, online multiple-choice test all that you will complete after you feel competent and confident with the practical side of training. I
The ability to observe, listen and communicate respectfully with clients is an integral part of your role that can be realised as your confidence and experience grows.
We would ideally like you to commit to a set day per week, either a half or full day, whatever suits you.
