🌈 About Boogie and Brush
Boogie and Brush is our unique, inclusive experience blending art, music, and self-expression. These sessions bring together children and adults—disabled and non-disabled—to explore creativity in a relaxed, sensory-friendly space. Think paint, movement, colour, connection…and plenty of smiles.
🫶 Role Purpose
You’ll support the delivery of Boogie and Brush workshops, helping participants to feel inspired, safe, and engaged. Over time, you’ll build confidence and skills to step into leading sessions yourself.
✨ Key Responsibilities
Welcome participants and help them settle in.
Assist with setting up art materials and equipment.
Support individuals during activities, offering encouragement and practical help.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
Tidy up and pack away materials after sessions.
Contribute creative ideas for session plans and themes.
Over time, co-lead and then independently lead sessions (with training and support).
🧠Person Specification
Essential:
Friendly, approachable, and patient.
Passionate about creativity and inclusion.
Confident working with children, young people, and/or adults with additional needs.
Good communication skills.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Desirable:
Experience in art, music, playwork, or community workshops.
Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety (training provided).
Creative flair and love of self-expression.
