Role description

Volunteers are the very heart of our charity

With their help and support we can provide bereavement support to children, young people and their families throughout Cornwall.

Whether you have a few hours or a few days a month to spare we would love to have you as part of the team.  Anything you can offer will make a difference to bereaved children in Cornwall.  If you are aged 18 years or older, we would love to hear from you.

What will I get from Volunteering?

Join our team of wonderful volunteers and become a part of the Penhaligon’s Friends family.  There is always something to do and you will…

  • Be a part of friendly team and volunteer family.
  • Learn new skills and gain valuable experience.
  • Meet new people and make new friends.
  • Make a difference to bereaved children and their families in Cornwall.

What can I do to Help?

You can support us in lots of different ways, including:

  • Representing the charity at fundraising events – could you run our Teddy Tombola stall?
  • Giving talks about the charity to groups, businesses and schools.
  • Family support – helping at Teens Groups, Family Groups and Memory Days.
  • Providing One to One support (you would be required to complete our professional training first).
  • Making Family Visits.
  • Office support.
  • Telephone support.
