Join us Growing Veg in the Field!
We’d love to welcome you to join in any of the gardening activities on our farm. Whether it’s for a couple of hours or a whole day, come and enjoy the companionship of others working in the field – learning new skills, sharing knowledge and growing together. For those of you who love nature, there are also opportunities for helping increase the biodiversity on our land and looking after the orchard, hedges and wild flower meadow.
If you’re interested in general maintenance, mowing and strimming or admin work – we’d love to have you on board as well!
We’re on site on all day on Thursdays and on Friday mornings, working to supply around 60 veg bags which we deliver to local people every Friday. You don’t have to commit to regular working hours – just let us know earlier in the week if we can expect you, using our WhatsApp group poll.
There are always a variety of job to do including
- sowing seeds and planting
- bed preparation
- making and spreading compost
- weeding and watering
- harvesting and packing
- mowing and general maintenance
- Admin, social media and helping organise events
