Townshend Village Hall Association - Help with IT and Website
Do you have a few hours each month or even a few times a year?
The Hall has a website that is regularly updated by one of the Trustees, and we also use Google to
maintain a Calendar of Events and to keep our records. The Trustee who maintains this information
will be stepping down at the next AGM, so we will need help in managing the website and ensuring
that our records are secure. If you are used to using Windows 10 or 11, Microsoft Word and Excel,
your help will be much appreciated. The website, which is used solely to provide information on the
village hall events, is maintained in WordPress, which is easy to use for anyone familiar with IT
applications.
Volunteering at your local village hall is a great way to get more involved in your community and build your CV.
Townshend Village Hall Association committee provides the day-to-day administration for the Village Hall. This involves taking bookings for the Hall, collecting rents, and ensuring that the charity's legal requirements are met. There are eight members on the committee, with four officers, who are the:-
- Chairman
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Bookings Secretary
The committee has limited skills in Windows and website design and will need help maintaining this information and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
