Penzance Memory Cafe - Volunteers Needed
About the Memory Cafe
The Memory Cafe is a place where any one with memory loss and their carer or family may find support and a signpost to more formal help if so desired.
They were opened to enhance the wellbeing and the quality of life of those who have memory loss – whether diagnosed or not, together with those of the carers.
The Café’s offer opportunities through activities such as music, dance, entertainment, exercise, paper therapies and the all-important social time together.
Roles Needed
As the Memory Cafés reopen to host activities for those living with memory loss, many locations have found that they have a need of new volunteers to help with providing fun activities for the attendees, support is also needed within the committee and general duties.
Volunteers are an invaluable source of support, skills, knowledge and creative ideas. If you have a particular skill, time to care and share or experiences which you would like to offer to make a difference to our Memory Cafes then we would like to hear from you.
All ages are welcome!
