Perranporth Bowling Club - Volunteers
Volunteering is the lifeblood of any sport and the thousands of people who give up their time at bowls clubs up and down the country enable bowls to function.
It is hugely important to all of us Bowls England that the efforts of administrators, coaches, umpires, green-keepers and other volunteers are rewarded and recognized. Our Annual Awards Night celebrates the amazing endeavour of all our volunteers.
Volunteer Support
We are working with the Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) to ensure clubs have opportunities and resources to support their volunteers and improve their capability to manager their club effectively.
Awards Night
The Bowls England Awards Night celebrates the great contribution made by players, officials, clubs, counties & volunteers in the sport. Held in February each year, the bowls community comes together to highlight the incredible work done in our sport over the past 12 months.

Bowls Makers
Our major events such as the Bowls England National Finals would not be possible without our incredible team of Bowls Makers who perform a range of duties and tasks. Our Bowls Makers have differing motivation…a love for our sport, a desire to be close to the action, the feeling of being part of a team and making a difference, the opportunity learn new skills…or all of the above!
Whilst being a Bowls Maker does not come with any remuneration, our volunteers are guaranteed to feel part of the Bowls England team, and will leave with a real sense of achievement.
