Role description

Be the friendly face at our HQ

Do you enjoy meeting new people, being part of a team, and representing a life-saving cause?

Our Newquay HQ is the heart of the charity’s operations, and we need reception volunteers to make sure our supporters and visitors have a wonderful experience when they get in touch.

You need to be confident using the phone, good at multi-tasking and be a friendly face when people walk through our doors.

What might you do?

  • Field calls
  • Take donations
  • Greet supporters
  • Perform admin tasks
  • Represent Cornwall Air Ambulance with pride and positivity
  • Generally help everything run more smoothly!

There are some days full of visits and meetings where you might be chatting to supporters, helping with refreshments, and answering donors questions on the phone. Other days might be quieter, in which case you would be helping the team with admin tasks.

This role is perfect for someone who is:

Friendly and enjoys talking to people
Keen to support a local charity
Comfortable being on their feet and helping in a busy environment

You’ll always be part of a team and will be fully supported by our experienced fundraising staff and volunteers. We are proud to be accredited by Investing in Volunteers, the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management.

Our Groundcrew volunteers are a vital part of our team, and we would not be able to provide the service that we do without their support. We want to ensure that our volunteers have the best possible time with us, gaining skills, experience, friendship, whilst having fun. Full training, support, and volunteer kit provided. No prior experience needed; just a can-do attitude and willingness to help.
