Restormel Castle - Visitor Volunteer

Standing in ruins amid beautiful countryside, Restormel is one of the most remarkable castles in Britain. The present circular structure, built in the late 13th century, was a luxurious retreat for its medieval owners and was twice visited by Edward, the Black Prince.

Your role as a Visitor Volunteer is to help bring that history to life. You will support visitors to get the most from their visit by encouraging exploration and sharing information about this wonderful site.

The most important aspect of this role is to share your enthusiasm for the site with our visitors and to help them have a great day with us.

This will involve:

• Engaging with visitors around the site to answer questions and provide information about the castle and its history
• Leading visitors on short guided tours of the castle and its grounds
• Encouraging visitors to explore all areas of the site.
