Saltash Songs & Shanties Festival
Are you interested in volunteering at concerts in Saltash on 20-23 June 2024?
We are looking for local people who love music to help at Saltash Songs & Shanties Festival. Roles include:
- Selling refreshments.
- Checking tickets.
- Helping audience members with access needs.
- Stewarding.
- Helping artists.
You will work alongside the Festival Director and Event Manager.
The event times and venues are as follows:
20 June: 6-9.30pm - Saltash Wesley Methodist Church - Wurlitza
21 June: 1.30-3.30pm - Saltash Social Club - Tango Sonoro, Tea & Cake Concert
21 June: 6-9.30pm - Church of St Nicholas & St Faith - Saltash Shanty Singers & Martha Tilston Trio
22 June: 2.30-4.30pm - Victoria Gardens - Saltash Town Band
22 June: 5-9.30pm - Saltash Wesley Methodist Church - Canoryon Lowen & Diabel Cissokho
23 June: 4-9.30pm - Saltash Social Club - Bagas Fellyon & Barrett's Privateers
We are looking for people who:
- Love live music and local events.
- Are enthusiastic, friendly and approachable.
Ideally volunteers will be able to attend several events.
Saltash Songs & Shanties Festival celebrates the culture, heritage and environment of South East Cornwall and the Tamar Valley. The Festival presents live music in historic venues around Saltash and features superb professional performers alongside fantastic local musicians from the region’s rich amateur music scene. Events include concerts and workshops featuring jazz, folk, classical, pop and much more.
Our events are small and intimate - our largest venue is 200 capacity - and the Festival is run by a small and dedicated team.
