VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Bodmin Memory Cafe are looking for a new Volunteer who is prepared to act as Secretary to the Café. Our current Secretary is retiring having done the job for several years. 

Memory Café is a voluntary organisation, in that we raise all our own funds, it is run by a Committee, consisting of Chairman, Treasurer & Café Organiser, Secretary and five other members.  We also have 5 Volunteers who help us in the Café on a regular basis. 

The Café meets on first and third Thursday afternoon at Lanivet Community Centre, and Community Meetings are held bi-monthly (usually on the last Thursday afternoon of the month).

Tasks would involve – preparing paperwork for Committee Meetings, making notes, typing up and distributing the Agenda and Minutes for meetings. Being responsible for the productions of forms and printing of them when necessary.  Copies of all current forms, minutes etc., would be handed over on a Memory Stick. 

You will need to use your own computer and printer and be computer literate. Office experience would be very valuable. Costs for printer ink, paper etc can be reimbursed. 

It is necessary for you to be sympathetic to the aims of the Memory Café and comfortable when dealing with our guests who have memory problems.
