Volunteer Resource Centre Supporter (Donations)
As the Volunteer Resource Centre Supporter, you will play an important role supporting the day to day activities at St Petrocs Truro Resource Centre.
Clients can access a range of facilities at the centre including showers, food, toilets, clothing, bedding, laundry and storage as well as activities that actively promote health and wellbeing. Donations play a vital role in providing valuable resources to our clients and under the supervision of the Resettlement Team, you will be providing much needed help in this area.
Volunteers are needed on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, between the hours 2:00pm - 4:00pm.

As the Volunteer Resource Centre Supporter, you will play an important role supporting the day to day activities at St Petrocs Truro Resource Centre.

Donations play a vital role in providing valuable resources to our clients and under the supervision of the Resettlement Team, you will be providing much needed help in this area.
Volunteers are needed on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, between the hours 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
What you'll be doing.
You will work closely with the Resettlement Team providing support which may include:
- Providing a friendly welcome to any visitors to the building.
- Receiving and receipting of donations and gifts in kind to the charity.
- Sorting donations and taking unwanted items to charity/recycling centre.
- Help organise and tidy clothes store.
- Helping with laundry.
- Cleaning and tidying of the building.

In order to volunteer with us, you will be expected to complete an application form and attend an informal chat and taster session. If selected for the role you will need to complete on-line training appropriate to the role and agree to a basic DBS check where necessary.
Volunteering should be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience or qualification. The only criteria we expect from someone in this role are detailed below.
Essential Criteria
- Commitment to our service and client group
- Reliability and agreement on how much time you can commit to the role
- Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Able to follow processes
- Able to make own travel arrangements to Truro Resource Centre (on-site parking not available)
Desirable Criteria
- Basic knowledge of IT including Microsoft Office
