Trustee and general volunteer supporter roles
We are a young charity, starting our third year of operation. We aim to support kidney patients and their families and carers . We also hope to provide information about renal disease and renal transplants. We are looking for keen and enthusiastic people who can help us to grow and develop our charity, either through helping with official work such as through being a trustee, or through becoming involved in general activities and supporting events that we run.
As a trustee we work within the guidelines of the Charity Commission and meet for meetings about every 4-6 weeks. Most people also enjoy attending other general events and meetings. These have ranged from fundraising music events to informal patient meetings or being available to help give out information about renal disease at events.
We would love to hear from anyone interested in joining us.
This is a small, friendly charity run by patients and carers for patients and carers or for those interested in renal disease. We are also affiliated to the National Kidney Federation which gives us an opportunity to be involved both locally and at a national level. There are kidney patients throughout Cornwall although currently most events have been held in mid or West Cornwall.
We know that kidney disease affects many people and we really hope that through our development we can help improve the lives of those with long term conditions and those who are particularly impacted by needing dialysis, transplants and long term treatment. We would also like to raise awareness of kidney disease and organ transplantation with the wider public.
