Volunteer - Multiple locations across Cornwall
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
So what could you bring to St John Ambulance and how could you use your skills to spread the word and practice of first aid to help our local communities?
We’re currently looking for people to join our Cornwall teams, and volunteers to be part of their local units (groups) or to help us expand our presence into other areas and towns by joining new units!
Whether you’re interested in spreading the word about first aid, engaging and educating the local community as a Community Advocate, or you have a passion for moving materials and helping to set up events as a Logistics Volunteer, or you love working with young people and want to run activities in our youth programmes as a Youth Team Volunteer, there are a range of roles you can get involved in with St John Ambulance!
Current volunteer roles available in Cornwall:
-
Youth Team (and DofE)
-
Fundraising
-
Logistics
-
Community Advocates
-
Healthcare Professionals
What we will provide to volunteers:
-
Reimbursement of costs and out of pocket expenses
-
Extra support, welcome programme and training in appropriate policies and procedures
-
Access to external discount sites, including Blue Light Card
We'll help find the closest unit to you! We currently have units in Liskeard, Saltash, St Austell, St Ives, Torpoint & Truro that you can join, but we also want to open units in other towns & areas across Cornwall.
You can find out more about volunteering with St John Ambulance here, and apply via the link here for an informal interview, or drop hayleigh.eglinton@sja.org.uk an email about volunteering in your local community.
