About Us . . .
Sea Cadets inspires young people aged 9-18 to achieve their potential through challenge and nautical adventure, guided by the customs and traditions of today’s Royal Navy.
We aim to launch every young person for life in today’s evolving world, with experiences, activities and qualifications that aren’t always available elsewhere.
Our Cornwall district oversees eight units including: City Of Truro, Falmouth and Penryn, Helston, Newquay, Padstow, Penzance, St Austell, Torpoint.
Activities
Cornwall District Sea Cadets is based in the community and provides indoor and outdoor education for young people each week – as well as a range of activities on weekends, during school holidays and term time.
There are lots of activities on the water including Rowing, Kayaking, Powerboating, Sailing & Windsurfing, as well as a number of land-based activities including Campcraft, Map-reading, Leadership & Teamwork exercises, First Aid, Catering, Engineering, STEM and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
