Drama Express is a Cornish based theatre company for young people with additional needs.
They are celebrating ten years with their latest production. 'It's OK to be Different' . A self penned play about the perceptions and challenges of life as a young person with a disability.
Drama Express require volunteer 'supporting' cast members to work with their fabulous enthusiastic young people. Plus general help with production duties would be very much appreciated.

We are Drama Express, a multi-award-winning charity based in the West Country. Our main goal is to help children and young people with additional needs find their creative voice through the performing arts. We believe everyone deserves a chance to shine, and we create safe, supportive, and joyful spaces for this to happen. Our core work involves running fun and inclusive workshops within community spaces. These sessions do more than teach performance; they build confidence, help form friendships, and boost self-worth. We celebrate every young person, supporting them to explore what makes them unique.
We also put on live shows at famous venues like the Hall for Cornwall, Minack Theatre and Truro Cathedral. These performances are big moments for our members, giving them the joy and pride of being on a real stage in front of an audience that truly values them. We are a community that believes in the magic of the arts to lift up and celebrate every person, especially those who are often overlooked. Our vision is to give young people with additional needs a place to express themselves, grow in confidence, and reach their full potential through performing arts.
