Role description

Can you bring a site to life with your story telling?

We are looking for volunteer tour guides to deliver guided tours of the Levant mining site. A mine under the sea off the west coast of Cornwall, Levant captivates visitors with the industry and tragedy that occurred on this rugged coastline. If you love to inform, educate and entertain, as well as interact with visitors looking to learn more about the history of this special place, then volunteering as a tour guide is the role for you.

The site at Levant Mine and Beam Engine is open Sundays to Thursdays from the beginning of March to the end of October so would be looking for volunteers to be available on one, or more, of these days. The site is normally open from 10:00 – 17:00 but half days would be fine if full days are not desirable. There would also be no commitment to have to do it week in week out.

The contact details for anybody interested in volunteering would be 01736 786156 or email levant@nationaltrust.org.uk
